King

Lions. Majestic & beautiful. Powerful and mighty. Bold and fearless. But also gentle and affectionate. And whether in action or at rest, no one can deny a lion’s authority and strength. His presence is both trembling and captivating.

And when I saw “Lion King” and “Chronicles of Narnia”, I became more amazed as to how this king of the jungle reminds me of the One True King and how He loves and sees me. With that, I know I’ll always be safe.

May this remind you to let the King take His stage and so you can claim your place.

Beauty

“Beauty is rare; but at the same time, it is everywhere. Beauty is valuable; but at the same time, priceless. Beauty is a treasure; sometimes lost but can be found. Beauty may be made; but sometimes just has to be unveiled.

Carpenter & Cornerstone

Carpenter. “He is King. But out of His great love, He humbled Himself and came to earth as human in order to serve and save us.”

Cornerstone. “Upon which everything else depends on. Grace & Rest

Grace. “Grace - elegance, courtesy, prayer, or unmerited favor of God. This is a reminder of the grace we receive daily.”

Rest. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." - Matthew 11:28-30 

Good Soil & New

Good Soil. “Good fruits only come from good soil.”

New. “God doesn’t just make things better. He makes things new.”

Showers of Faithfulness

“I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing. And I will cause showers to come down in their season; they will be showers of blessing.” - Ezekiel 34:26 

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” - Lamentations 3:23-24

Breakthrough, Open Heaven, Safe

Breakthrough. “Sometimes, only God’s breakthrough can help you get through.”

Open Heaven. “We who are in Christ are open heavens! What does this mean for us? It means that we have complete access to God and every resource that He has promised us. Heaven is not on hold for you. It is ready for you to access now.” (“http://www.fromtheoverflow.com/open-heavens/)

Safe. “God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble.” Psalm 46:1 

Abide & Renew

Abide. “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.” - John 15:4

Renew. “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” - Romans 12:2

Calm, Sea of Galilee, Red Sea

All reminders of God’s miracles.

Calm. Jesus calmed the storm and sea.

Sea of Galilee. Where Jesus walked on water, calmed the storm, multiplied the fish, shared the beatitudes, spent time with his disciples, performed miracles and more. I hope this painting would remind you of what Jesus did and still can do.

Red Sea. The miracle of the Red Sea was a powerful display of God’s love and faithfulness. Regardless of the Israelites’ sins and complains, God made a way. He divided the waters so the Israelites could safely cross the seabed. Through the miracle of the Red Sea, God saved His people. This is a reminder of God’s endless miracles, even to this day.
